msoftnews uses a small number of cookies. We don't use third-party tracking cookies. Here's what we set.

Strictly necessary

• theme — remembers your light or dark mode preference so the page doesn't flash on reload. Lasts one year.
• session — keeps you signed in if you've created a comment account. Cleared when you sign out.
• csrf — prevents cross-site form submissions on the comment form. Cleared when you close the browser.

Analytics

We plan to use Plausible Analytics, which is cookieless. No cookies are set for analytics.

Advertising

We do not currently run advertising. When we do, we will only use ad networks that don't drop tracking cookies (Carbon Ads or EthicalAds). We will update this page before any cookies are set.

Disabling cookies

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, but it won't remember your theme preference and you won't be able to post comments.
